Santa Rosa's Concrete Contractor Homeowners Recommend by Name
From a single cracked driveway to a full backyard transformation, we've been pouring
concrete for Sonoma County homes for over 20 years. No cutting corners. No subcontractors you've never met.
Just honest work that lasts.
We Work Like the Neighbors Are Watching. Because They Are
We've built driveways on
streets where we later came back to do the neighbor's patio. That kind of reputation is earned one project
at a time. Here's what makes working with us feel different from the rest.
01
Your Crew Stays Your Crew
When you hire us, the same crew that shows up on Day 1 finishes the job. We don't hand your project off
to a subcontractor. The lead finisher who quoted your driveway is the same person who walks it with you on
completion day.
02
Upfront Pricing, No Surprise Bills
Our written estimates are detailed: materials, labor, disposal, everything. We've never handed a customer
an invoice that was significantly higher than what we quoted. If something unexpected comes up
mid-project, we call you before we act, not after.
03
We Design for Sonoma County's Climate
Northern California's wet winters and summer heat cycles put stress on concrete that contractors from
other regions don't always account for. Our mix designs, curing schedules, and joint placement are all
calibrated for local conditions, so your concrete holds up for decades.
04
You'll Always Know Where Things Stand
Project updates by phone, text, however you prefer. We confirm start dates, let you know if weather
pushes anything, and check in after installation. No chasing us for answers. No showing up to find no one
there.
05
Finishes That Look Good in Ten Years
We only use premium concrete mixes, quality sealers, and the kind of surface prep that most contractors
skip because it takes longer. The extra day of base prep is the difference between a driveway that cracks
at year 5 and one that still looks sharp at year 15.
06
Fully Licensed, Bonded & Insured in California
We carry general liability insurance and workers' compensation, and we're happy to provide proof before
the project starts. Hiring a contractor without it is a risk that's just not worth taking on a project
this size.
What We Do
Residential Concrete Services Across Sonoma County
From a straightforward driveway replacement to
a full decorative patio build, we handle every phase in-house. No project is too straightforward or too
involved for our crew.
Concrete Driveways
New installations, full replacements, resurfacing, and crack repair for residential driveways. We work with
standard broom finish, exposed aggregate, and stamped options, all properly reinforced and jointed for
Sonoma County conditions.
Expand your outdoor living area with a custom concrete patio. Stamped concrete, brushed finishes, and
exposed aggregate, designed to complement your home's architecture and hold up through Northern California's
seasonal swings.
Replace cracked, faded, or unsafe pool surrounds with a slip-resistant, professionally finished concrete
pool deck. We handle demolition, drainage planning, and resurfacing, getting your backyard back in shape for
the summer.
Solve erosion, level sloped yards, and create usable outdoor space with a poured concrete or block
retaining wall. We handle the engineering behind the wall so it actually holds long-term, not just for a
season or two.
New builds, ADU additions, garage slabs, and outbuildings. We coordinate with your general contractor or
work directly with homeowners on standalone slab projects. Permits pulled, inspections handled, engineered
correctly.
Stamped patterns, colored concrete, exposed aggregate, and salt-finish surfaces. Decorative concrete gives
your project a custom look without the maintenance headaches of pavers. We'll show you samples before any
work begins.
City-adjacent sidewalk panels, public right-of-way repairs, and front-of-property replacements. We handle
City of Santa Rosa permit requirements, ADA-compliant slopes, and clean transitions to existing curbs, so
your project passes inspection the first time.
Front entry paths, garden walkways, stepping stone surrounds, and decorative step rebuilds. Whether you
want a clean brushed finish or an exposed aggregate path that blends with your landscaping, we design for
both curb appeal and long-term durability.
Surface cracks, spalling, settling, and joint failure. We assess whether your concrete genuinely needs full
replacement or whether targeted repair will extend its life cost-effectively. We'll give you a straight
answer either way.
We've refined our process over 20 years to make
concrete projects as straightforward as possible for homeowners. Here's what working with us looks like.

What Customers Say
Homeowners Who've Been Through It With Us
We had three concrete companies give us quotes for a stamped driveway and front walkway. This was
the only crew that actually showed up on time, gave us a detailed breakdown of what they were doing and why,
and stuck to the schedule. The driveway has been down for two years now and still looks brand new. Worth
every penny.

Our pool deck was a safety issue , cracked, lifting, and honestly embarrassing. They came out
quickly, were completely honest about what could be repaired versus what needed to come out, and came in
under the estimate I'd expected from the other two bids. The new deck is gorgeous. Our summer just got a lot
better.

Yelp
We needed a retaining wall on a steep backyard slope; two other contractors said it was too
complicated. These guys came, looked at it, and explained exactly what needed to happen. The permit, the
drainage, the backfill. They handled everything. Six months on, the wall looks perfect and the yard is
completely transformed.

Common Questions
Questions We Hear From Homeowners Every Week
If you're researching a concrete project, chances are you have some of these same questions. We've answered
the most common ones honestly and in plain language.
Most residential driveways in Santa Rosa run between $8 and $14 per square
foot for a standard broom-finished driveway, depending on thickness, base preparation needed, and
whether demolition of existing concrete is included. A typical two-car driveway (around 600–800 sq ft)
generally comes in between $5,500 and $11,000. Stamped or decorative finishes add $3–$8 per square foot
depending on pattern complexity. We provide itemized estimates so you know exactly what you're paying
for.
Stamped concrete patios typically run $12–$20 per square foot installed in
the Santa Rosa area. A 300–400 square foot backyard patio usually falls between $4,500 and $8,000. The
final price depends on pattern selection, color options, whether existing concrete needs to come out,
and site access. We'll give you a fixed price based on a site visit, not a ballpark over the phone. over
the phone.
Most new concrete can handle light foot traffic within 24–48 hours. For
vehicles, we recommend waiting at least 7 days before parking on a new driveway, and 28 days before
parking heavy trucks or equipment. Concrete continues to gain strength for up to 90 days after
placement. We'll give you specific guidance based on the mix we used and the current weather conditions
at the time of your pour.
For most residential driveway replacements in Santa Rosa, a grading or
encroachment permit is required if the work is within 10 feet of the public right-of-way. Standard
backyard patios typically don't require a permit if they're under a certain size, but retaining walls
over 3 feet usually do. We handle all permit applications as part of our process, so you don't need to
navigate City Hall. We'll confirm permit requirements during the estimate visit.
Most residential driveway cracks result from shrinkage during curing (common
and largely cosmetic), tree root pressure, soil settlement, or the original concrete being too thin or
improperly reinforced. Hairline cracks under 1/4" wide are often repairable with routing and sealant.
Wider cracks, spalling, or sections that are shifting vertically typically warrant a full section
replacement. We'll assess your driveway honestly and tell you which approach makes more financial sense
for your situation.
Stamped concrete works very well in the North Bay climate. It handles
temperature swings better than many people expect, and it's significantly lower maintenance than real
stone or pavers, which require periodic re-sanding and resetting. It does need to be sealed every 2–3
years to maintain its appearance and protect the surface. If you're comparing it to pavers, concrete is
typically 30–50% less expensive installed and doesn't shift or allow weed growth between joints. We'll
show you samples of recent local projects at your estimate appointment.
Most standard residential driveway jobs take 2–4 days of active work. Day 1
is typically demolition and haul-away of old concrete. Day 2 is subbase prep and form setting. Day 3 is
the pour and initial finish. If curing conditions are right, the forms come off on Day 4. Stamped or
decorative work may add a day. Weather is always the wild card; we don't pour if rain is imminent. Your
specific timeline will be discussed at the estimate.
For a standard driveway: apply a penetrating sealer every 3–5 years, clean
oil stains promptly to prevent staining, and avoid using metal snow shovels or harsh de-icers. For
stamped or decorative concrete: reseal with an acrylic topcoat every 2–3 years depending on sun exposure
and traffic. We'll give you a written care guide specific to your surface after every project. Proper
maintenance makes a real difference in how long your concrete looks good , and lasts.
Yes, with the right precautions. Santa Rosa winters are mild enough that
cold weather pours are usually feasible with insulated blankets during curing; we avoid pouring when
temperatures drop below 35°F. In summer, we schedule pours early in the morning to avoid peak heat, use
a slower-setting mix, and keep the surface moist during curing to prevent premature drying and cracking.
We've been managing these conditions locally for over 20 years and factor them into every project plan.
Our estimates include: demolition and haul-away of existing concrete (if
needed), subbase preparation and compaction, formwork, reinforcing steel or fiber where specified,
concrete materials and placement, finishing labor, control joint cutting, initial sealing (where
applicable), and site cleanup. Permit fees are itemized separately. There are no hidden charges. If
something comes up mid-project that changes scope, we discuss it with you before proceeding.
20+Years in Sonoma County
About Santa Rosa Concrete
A Family Business That Built Its Name One Driveway at a Time
We started in 2004 as a two-man crew taking on driveway replacements in the east side of Santa Rosa. Over
the next two decades, we grew into the full-service residential concrete company we are today, but the way
we work hasn't changed much.
The owner still visits every estimate in person. We still hire locally, and most of our
crew has been with us for more than five years. We still return calls the same day. And we still take the
same pride in the finish on a $6,000 driveway as we do on a $25,000 decorative patio project.
We're not the largest concrete company in the county, and that's deliberate. We take on the number of
projects we can do well, not the maximum number we can schedule. If you get a quote from us, you're getting
a crew that actually cares how your project turns out.
We live here. Our kids go to school here. When your driveway goes in, it becomes part of our portfolio in
the most literal sense; we'll drive past it for years. That keeps us honest in a way that no review platform
can.
